Welcome to the Pastime Foundation website!

This Bristol, RI civic group is dedicated to bringing the magic of the performing arts to the East Bay. Recharged and refocused, the Pastime Foundation is working to round out the entertainment and cultural offerings for the community. We think Bristol needs more comedy, films, puppetry, dance and jazz. And, because we're a virtual theater, we plan to use a variety of local stages and venues.

Our goals are to:

  1. Support and celebrate what’s already offered in the East Bay by working with performing-arts groups and presenters
  2. Entertain and inspire the public with exciting programming
  3. Make the case for creating a center for the arts in Bristol.

Why?  We have witnessed how the arts make the community and the economy more vibrant.  So we’re investing our time, looking for volunteers, and seeking your ideas.

We are also proud to sponsor the Bristol Arts Roundtable, providing a forum for local performing-arts groups, presenters and promoters to coordinate scheduling and work on projects of mutual interest. The Bristol Arts Roundtable was first convened in 2007. Participants include:

  • Blithewold
  • Bristol County Interfaith Choir
  • Bristol Parks & Recreation
  • Bristol Theatre Company
  • Community Concert Series at St. Michael's Church
  • Concerts on the Common
  • Linden Place
  • Mount Hope Farm
  • Roger Williams University
  • Pastime Theater Foundation
  • Stone Church Coffeehouse

See you at the show!
